Meteorite Impactite Fragment (small sized) (Libyan Glass), Genuine, Rough, Worldwide Shipping

These pieces of Libyan glass are 100% authentic, tested, un-restored, and are small sized (about 2cm to 3cm wide) and weigh about 10-15 carats (2 to 3 grams a piece), please steer clear from fakes

For sale is an impact fragment of a meteorite strike (also known as Libyan glass). These fragments come from a notable meteorite strike that took place in the eastern Sahara Desert (the present day border region of western Egypt/eastern Libya) approximately 29 million years ago when a large meteorite collision supposedly occurred in that region. Some theorists suggest that the glass actually formed as a byproduct of an atmospheric meteorite airburst (which is the less likely of the two theories). In ancient times, Libyan glass was considered a precious commodity and was worn as jewelry by the Egyptian Pharaohs.

· The fragments measure about 2cm to 3cm long (20mm to 30mm) long and may differ slightly from what is pictured in the photos (i.e. some are rounder, some are more square, some are more irregular etc.). · The fragments weigh approximately 10-15 carats (2 to 3 grams) a piece. · The composition formula for these fragments is SiO2 (95% Silica + Al,Ca,Fe,K,Mg,Mn,Na,Ti) (Silicon Dioxide plus various impurities)

THE ITEM(S) WILL BE SHIPPED OUT VIA STANDARD MAIL (DOMESTIC & INTERNATIONAL) (ESTIMATED SHIPPING TIME IS APPROXIMATELY 3-5 WORKING DAYS DOMESTIC AND 8-14 DAYS INTERNATIONAL DEPENDING ON COUNTRY AND LOCATION). THANK YOU FOR LOOKING.
